dc.description.abstractPublic Relations is a growing profession in many countries across the world. Since it is a growing industry, not all organizations in Ghana practice this profession. Some private and public sector organizations practice this profession to promote their objectives. This study provided a conceptual framework for the importance of public relations practice in the discharge of the mandate of the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT). The research examined the objectives of GNAT and the structure put in place to meet such objectives. To verify how Public Relations strategies were employed, issues that GNAT was faced with which had the potential to dent the image of the Union were examined. It was the conclusion of the research that Public Relations strategies adopted by GNAT were able to redeem its image and also helped to put GNAT on good standing with the public
