| dc.description.abstract | The study examined the radio political programs on tertiary students. The study employed the use of the uses and gratification and the agenda setting theory to try and understand the media consumption pattern of tertiary students and how the consumption of political programs on radio affect their political engagement. The study examines the work of other researchers and concluded that radio political programs are very significant in educating students on political activities and current affairs. The study also observed that radio political programs have the tendency of increasing students’ ability to engage in political activities. | |
