Abstract
This is a research entitled: )Teaching foreign and second languages from the perspective of the linguist Afram Noam Chomsky(. This research aimed to explain the work of the linguist Afram Noam Chomsky regarding teaching and acquiring foreign and second languages. The researchers used the descriptive approach in conducting this research.
The researchers reached the following results:
1- Chomsky established fixed rules capable of explaining the nature of language.
2- Chomsky talked about some terms, such as: ability and achievement, surface structure and deep structure, etc., but they have undergone a group of developments and modifications.
3- As a result of the echoes and criticisms he received from his students or linguists in general, he made up for the shortcomings of the model before him.
